While testing the market for demand, it appears as though Dead and Company are set to announce at least one and possibly 2 more shows at Madison Square Garden in addition to the two shows already scheduled. While scheduling can be tricky during hockey and basketball season there’s certainly a couple of open spaces somewhere. Small amounts of tickets were released during the initial on sales to create as much free marketing as possible via internet chatter and to drive demand. People that were in the TicketMaster system at 10:01, myself included, were receiving the dreaded “nothing available” screen. While many will claim robots are getting all of their tickets, all robots we questioned said they were shut out too. The robots blamed young kids that type fast for the problems they’re having acquiring tickets nowadays. Sources tied to the Dead and Company Camp contacted The Official Home of Unofficial Grateful Dead and Music News and said that additional MSG shows would be announced really soon. Time tells all… As an unpaid member of the media, I assure you, I will always give you much more than you paid for! Sometimes I might be full of shit, Sometimes I’m not… Most of the time I’ve been pretty accurate. Let’s face it, I’m a real nobody but I’m a somebody to somebody and everything to my kids and that’s good enough for me…. I look forward to jamming with all of you this Fall!!! We’re ALL getting in!!! Good Luck!!!

Now back to your regularly scheduled bitching about robots, scalpers, John Mayer and TicketMaster…

Whoa. I did NOT see that coming. I figured they were scrambling to add more shows at the other stops. More shows at what is certainly a very tightly booked venue is VERY interesting.

So happy I scored a seat for Sunday in the 200s. Got it on a Dead ticket sell/trade site for face value. I’m just glad I’m getting to see at least one show.
