Be Kind

In keeping with Mickey’s marching orders from a year ago, a group of infamous DeadHeads and one that likes The Panic a little too much, are throwing a shindig that will be a piece of history. The first annual Be Kind Gathering of the Tribes will take place on July 21-24, 2016 at Terrapin Hill Farm in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. The event will feature a ton of outstanding musicians in an environment that DeadHeads and festival goers dream about. The bands are almost too numerous to count but will feature the likes of The John K Band, Keller Williams, The Rumpke Mountain Boys, Community Kingpin David Gans and Terrapin Flyer along with many more. Tickets may be the deal of the decade for this one at a mere $125, (kids under 15 are FREE!!!) for 4 days of musical mayhem and can be purchased here Partial weekend tickets are available as well.

The event put on by Limbo Native, Jeremiah Romero, BackStager Howard Weinstein, along with Clam Mafia paisan Nick Giglia and Multi-Tribe Contributor Joel Okun along with a bunch of other folks helping to make it happen, is sure to be one of Summer’s finest and most intimate Festivals. While I’m making absolutely nothing to help get the word out, The leaders involved have chosen to do the same by donating all of their profits to the Rex Foundation. The event will feature plenty of activities, the greatest of which being activities for those with children. Family Camping and a kid’s village will make this event one of the few that really cater to people with little ones. A brilliant idea whose time has certainly come. I’m also happy to announce that if 5,000 tickets are sold, I will be in a dunk tank filled with piranha and jellyfish. I’m confident that most of you don’t have the arm to sink me!

If you can’t make the West Coast swing of Dead & Company’s Summer Tour and you want a fantastic weekend of music closer to home, there’s no better place to spend a few days than Terrapin Hill Farm. The vibes are sure to be just right and the tunes will be incredible. This is sure to be a historic weekend you’ll never forget! Once again, there’s activities for the kids, a theme night, lots of good food and craft booths, a bourbon trail bus tour, and so much more.
